Zenovia Grant is a proud mother of four and a multi-award-winning Community Advocate, passionate about amplifying the voices and lived experiences of the African and Caribbean Diaspora. She believes in the power of storytelling to connect communities, spark imagination, and celebrate identity. Through vibrant, culturally resonant imagery, Zenovia invites readers into new worlds while nurturing empathy and understanding.

With a degree in Psychology with Childhood and Society and a strong professional background in SEND and education, she is committed to breaking down barriers and creating safe, inclusive spaces where learning and the joy of reading can flourish for all. Her work blends advocacy, creativity, and culture ensuring every voice is seen, heard, and valued.

 

Fortunate to complete the illustrations for a powerful Early Years resource created by the Anna Freud Centre and written by Laura Henry-Allain called 'Sometimes Happy, Sometimes Sad'.

A passionate self-taught digital illustrator who is determined to push boundaries, break the moulds and represent the under-represented, Zenovia believes that equality is more than just an eight-letter word and that If you see it, you can be it. The lack of representation has created unseen barriers, bias and reduced learning opportunities within the literature world and beyond.
